The American Red Cross needed a way to speed up donation processing across hundreds of field locations while integrating with existing back-office, finance, and donor management systems. To support this initiative, the organization selected FTNI’s integrated receivables solution, ETran, to enable remote deposit capture and streamline the electronic acceptance of checks, credit cards, ACH, and cash-related donation data.

FTNI implemented ETran with Panini scanners to create a single, bank-agnostic payments and receivables platform that automatically updates accounting and donor systems in one pass. As a result, the American Red Cross consolidated more than 25 banking relationships down to fewer than six, improved real-time enterprise-wide visibility into donations, reduced processing complexity, and accelerated reconciliation and posting of donation activity.
