They partnered with the vendor Froomle, leveraging its personalization solution to address this.
Froomle's solution implemented single-person-segment personalization for Mediahuis's newsletters. This approach allowed the news brand to recommend uniquely relevant content to each individual. The results were a massive increase in content diversification, with Froomle enabling the recommendation of over 800 different articles per week—a 16x increase from the previous baseline of about 50. This also led to users clicking on twice as many different articles on average.
