De Telegraaf, the Netherlands’ largest daily newspaper, wanted to improve digital engagement and make its homepage more relevant for logged-in users. To address this, the company worked with Froomle and its modular AI recommendation platform to personalize the “Recommended for You” module across web and mobile.

Froomle implemented an A/B test on the homepage and delivered stronger performance across multiple placements. Personalized recommendations increased CTR by 15% on mobile and 18% on desktop, while overall page CTR rose by 3% after deployment. A later test at a lower position also performed well, with CTR up 35% on mobile and 25% on desktop, while the homepage gained more content diversity and a 100% increase in different articles shown.
