Sarah's Circle is a Chicago nonprofit that provides shelter, supportive services and permanent housing to women experiencing homelessness—serving 600–900 women annually and helping 92 women transition to permanent housing in 2014. Their annual Winter Walk fundraiser has grown each year, creating pressure to efficiently manage registrants, donors and volunteers and to respond quickly to supporters.

To meet that need they implemented FrontStream’s FirstGiving for online fundraising and GiftWorks as their CRM, using FirstGiving’s goal-tracking, team tools, social integration and automated emails plus the integration to import contacts and donations into GiftWorks. The result: 220 participants raised more than $36,000 online in 2015 (the most successful walk in its 23‑year history) and a 260% increase over two years, while staff cut the time required to manage fundraising data.
