A FrontStream Case Study
IBC Network Foundation is a volunteer-run charity focused on funding research and raising awareness for inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer that often progresses quickly and can be hard to detect. The organization faces the twin challenges of educating the public that not all breast cancers present with a lump and raising meaningful research dollars while keeping overhead low.
To meet those needs, IBC Network runs the annual Hunt For Hope scavenger hunt powered by the Panorama peer-to-peer fundraising platform (FirstGiving/FrontStream), which lets participants and teams collect donations and helps the charity present a credible virtual presence. Since 2013 the campaign has generated $843,839 from 5,736 donations, achieved year-over-year event growth and expansion into new states, and boosted community engagement and awareness in addition to research funding.
