Alberta Wilderness Association (AWA) is a long-established conservation group in Alberta that runs the annual Climb for Wilderness — a 1,204-stair, Earth Day weekend peer-to-peer fundraiser that attracts more than 1,000 participants and 150 volunteers. AWA needed a simpler, more reliable way to handle event registration, donor receipts and year-round engagement so the event could consistently support its long-term conservation work.

Using FrontStream’s Panorama peer-to-peer fundraising tools, AWA integrated registration with its website, automated tax receipts and used follow-up “C4W Stories” to keep supporters engaged between events. The result was streamlined operations, faster donor processing, stronger community ties and nearly $100,000 raised in 2018, helping fund major conservation wins such as protection of over 100,000 hectares in the Castle provincial parks.
