Linx Printing Technologies, a maker of industrial inkjet and laser coding printers, was facing slowing, resource-intensive software testing for the Qt/Embedded user interfaces on their devices. After evaluating tools in 2007 they adopted froglogic’s Squish in 2008 to replace a home-grown approach and accelerate their test cycles while leveraging their team’s existing Python skills.

froglogic’s Squish was deployed to build a test suite of almost 250 automated cases using Object Maps, tight GUI toolkit integration, data-driven tests and screenshot verification (with froglogic support resolving initial issues). The result: weekly automated runs that catch regressions early, a significant reduction in person-hours and shorter testing cycles, and positive ongoing technical support from froglogic.
