Q1 Labs, a global provider of SIEM products (QRadar family), needed a more capable GUI test automation solution for their web UIs—JSP-generated pages with heavy JavaScript and large data tables—after becoming dissatisfied with their previous tool. They selected froglogic’s Squish in late 2007 to provide scripting support (they use JavaScript), XPath-based element access, and command-line automation that fits into their Windows VM/browser test environment and in-house batch framework.

froglogic delivered Squish with XPath support, multi-language scripting, and easy command-line integration, enabling Q1 Labs to build and run an extensive automated suite (more than 800 test cases). The result: regression cycles shrank from weeks to a few days, allowing more frequent full-suite runs, earlier bug discovery during development, and overall faster turnaround—while froglogic continues to provide responsive technical support.
