A froglogic Case Study
ARM Ltd. is a long-established designer of processors, graphics, connectivity and development tools that chose froglogic’s Squish (first licensed around 2005) to address the challenge of automating and maintaining GUI tests across multiple OSes and GUI technologies. Key problems included keeping tests current across frequent build changes and maximizing automation on ARM’s centralized cluster for development and testing.
froglogic’s Squish was deployed for Qt- and Java/Eclipse-based debuggers and IDEs, using its object map, multi-OS/technology support and command-line tools to integrate with ARM’s Perl/Python scripts and unit-test frameworks. The result, according to ARM, is shorter test cycles, reduced manual testing effort, a single cross‑platform toolchain for GUI testing, and increased test automation — outcomes that ARM plans to extend further with froglogic’s Squish.
