Seguros El Águila, an auto insurance company in Mexico, was struggling to assess fraud risk at scale. With homegrown legacy systems, the team could only review about 10% of suspicious claims and lacked the historical and external data needed to build a reliable fraud baseline. FRISS was selected to help bring more structure and consistency to underwriting and claims fraud detection.
FRISS implemented Claims Analytics and Underwriting Analytics to automate fraud screening, integrate external information, and tailor models to the Mexican market. The results included a 75% reduction in false positives, a 50% decrease in time spent per policy application and claim, and fast-track processing for acceptable risks. FRISS also helped El Águila achieve ROI within one year.
