With Friendbuy, Byte launched a referral program using personal URLs, email/SMS/social sharing, automated rewards, analytics, and integrated placements across the website and triggered emails. The results were strong: referral conversions reached about 50%, referral transactions doubled year over year, one seasonal campaign produced a 2x lift in conversions, and Byte grew fast enough to be acquired by Dentsply Sirona for $1 billion while projected to surpass $100 million in annual sales.
