Nasuwt, the Teachers’ Union engages 1,000+ delegates with Freshwater

Freshwater was engaged by NASUWT, The Teachers’ Union, to create a welcoming and engaging exhibition space for its annual conference. The challenge was to design an environment where over 1,000 delegates could unwind, connect, and recharge, moving beyond a traditional busy conference format to promote wellbeing and informal learning.

The solution designed and delivered by Freshwater included a central wellbeing zone with a tipi for activities, a revamped stand for merchandise and fireside talks, and various chill-out areas with recharge tables and a cozy library. The exhibition became a standout feature of the conference, with strong attendance and high delegate engagement. A key initiative involved creating large-scale murals for donation to schools, extending the event's positive impact and creating a lasting legacy.
