SeaDog IT, a UK tech company led by Managing Director Dave Cromie, used FreshBooks to manage recurring billing and client invoicing. Their challenge was that some customers preferred bank transfer over card payments, forcing the team to manually check bank deposits and mark invoices as paid, which created extra admin work and delays.
FreshBooks solved this with its Direct Debit feature, which SeaDog IT adopted for recurring payments. According to Dave, FreshBooks Direct Debit cut down on a tonne of admin, sped up payment collection, and became the default recurring payment option for the business, with plans to expand its use to more clients and markets.
