Partnership with Native Americans (PWNA), a nonprofit serving Native communities on remote reservations, struggled to communicate with nearly half of its donors and members because it lacked email addresses for many records. As direct mail and phone outreach became too expensive, PWNA turned to FreshAddress’s email appending service to build a more cost-effective email channel and support fundraising.
FreshAddress appended email addresses to PWNA’s postal records starting in 2006, ultimately providing 450,156 addresses. The results were substantial: the appended emails generated over $2 million in value from an investment of about $50,000, delivered a ROI of nearly 4,000%, and accounted for 28.2% of PWNA’s total online revenue since 2006.
