A FreshAddress Case Study
Eldorado Resorts faced a challenge in transitioning its marketing from direct mail to digital channels, as it lacked email addresses for a large portion of its customer base. The company also had to consolidate 24 separate legacy databases, which created the potential for overlapping and conflicting communications. To address this, Eldorado turned to the vendor FreshAddress for its Email Appending and Email Change of Address (ECOA) services.
FreshAddress implemented its services to append missing emails and update inactive ones from Eldorado's customer records. The solution was highly successful, with the initial Email Append adding deliverable addresses for 20% of the customer file; that number later grew to cover one-third of the database. Furthermore, an ECOA processing generated a 21% match rate for updated addresses. These new addresses performed on par with or better than organically collected ones, allowing Eldorado to reduce costs and communicate more effectively with its audience.
