The customer, Ace Hardware, faced a challenge with its Ace Rewards customer database, which lacked a significant number of email addresses as they were not required during initial sign-ups. To rectify this and improve its email marketing channel, the company issued an RFP and ultimately selected FreshAddress as its vendor for email database services based on superior match rates and performance.

FreshAddress implemented its Email Append and patented Email Change of Address (ECOA) services to add new addresses and update inactive ones. The solution was highly successful, adding 1.7 million new email addresses to the database and increasing its size by 66% in less than a year. This resulted in customers who were reached via email shopping more often and generating higher average orders, delivering a multiple return on investment for Ace Hardware.
