Case Study: Weird Fish achieves doubled conversion rates with Fresh Relevance's Cart Abandonment Solution

A Fresh Relevance Case Study

Weird Fish find conversion rates double with the use of Fresh Relevance’s Cart Abandonment Solution

Weird Fish is a successful UK casualwear brand (online since 2005) that wanted to recover more revenue from abandoned baskets but was frustrated by its incumbent solution, which gave them no control over email content or timing. They needed a flexible triggered messaging system that could be changed quickly and deliver timely, relevant reminders to shoppers.

They implemented Fresh Relevance’s cart abandonment solution (via Dotmailer) to send a triggered email 30 minutes after session abandonment showing items left in the basket and urging checkout. In an A/B test—50% received the email, 50% did not—conversion for emailed shoppers was nearly double, and the system now runs quietly in the background with occasional creative tweaks as the team plans to add browse-abandonment next.
