VioVet, one of the UK’s largest veterinary supplies retailers, wanted to help customers make better choices about food and medications and reduce lost sales from browsing and cart abandonment. With a content-rich website but high abandonment in categories like dog food, flea/tick treatments, worming and prescription meds, the company sought a way to deliver timely, relevant guidance that would convert browsing into purchases.

Working with Fresh Relevance, VioVet deployed education-led cart, browse and specialist triggered emails integrated with its bespoke eCommerce system, plus SmartBlocks for related products and Ratings & Reviews pulled into recommendations. Sent within an hour of leaving the site and targeted at high‑abandonment pages, the campaign delivered clear gains: horse worming emails generated an extra £1.02 per email, prescription emails achieved a 48% open rate (vs 32% for general browse emails), and Ratings & Reviews lifted clickthroughs by 19%, boosting customer confidence and sales.
