Euroffice, the UK’s leading online retailer for stationery and office supplies, needed to out-innovate larger competitors by adding sophistication to its email and website personalization—particularly to improve its cart abandonment recovery and overall customer engagement. The company replaced a self-built cart abandonment system and sought a solution that would scale across its businesses and capture more potentially lost revenue.
In early 2014 Euroffice implemented Fresh Relevance to replace its cart system, then added browse abandonment and a suite of personalization tools (SmartBlocks, countdown timers, Web Crop, real‑time product recommendations and Twitter feeds). The result was an 8.3% uplift in total turnover, recoveries of 61% of cart-abandoned value and 39% from browse-abandon emails, plus much faster revenue gains (what previously took seven months was achieved in two).
