7dayshop.com gets 6% more Sales from Cart Abandonment Emails

7dayshop is an established online retailer of photography, digital and computer products operating on Magento. Their email platform (ExactTarget) didn’t receive any customer browsing or cart data until users logged in, leaving marketers without the full customer history they needed to target and recover abandoning shoppers.

Fresh Relevance deployed a lightweight gold solution—one line of JavaScript, a cart-abandonment email and ExactTarget configuration—to push browse and carted data into ExactTarget. The recovery emails convert at around 20%, driving an approximate 6% increase in turnover, and Fresh Relevance identifies about 4× as many abandoning shoppers as Magento’s built-in feature, enabling much stronger targeting and personalization.
