Newegg, an online retailer of computing hardware and electronics with operations in the U.S. and Canada, struggled with time-consuming manual processes—negotiating carriers by email and tracking shipments in Excel—that reduced visibility and made it hard to secure optimal freight rates. To solve this, Newegg partnered with FreightPOP and adopted the FreightPOP TMS to centralize and automate its shipping and logistics workflows.

FreightPOP implemented a customized TMS integrated with Newegg’s warehouse management and internal systems, adding freight rate shopping, shipment and performance tracking, and multi-carrier management. The result: Newegg reported 50–70% time savings versus the prior workflow (one employee who arranged ~20 shipments can now handle 60+), improved rate optimization and shipment visibility, and plans to expand FreightPOP use to support overseas shipments.
