The National Multiple Sclerosis Society sought to educate its older donors on more impactful, tax-efficient giving options, such as Qualified Charitable Distributions and bequests, and to simplify the complex donation process. To address this, they partnered with the vendor FreeWill.

FreeWill provided dedicated online tools for wills and IRA donations, which the Society prominently featured on its website. By making these resources highly visible and following up with donors, they achieved a 13X increase in QCD donations, bringing in over $98,000 in a year. Furthermore, this donor-centric approach secured more than $3.7 million in planned gift commitments over two years.
