Ampion launches an automated solar SaaS platform in 1 year with Freeport Metrics

Freeport Metrics partnered with Ampion, a renewable energy company, to address challenges stemming from outdated systems. Ampion needed to replace its manual invoicing and payment processes, create better power production visualizations, and implement operational monitoring tools for its community solar farms.

The solution designed and built by Freeport Metrics was a new SaaS platform featuring an AngularJS frontend and a Ruby on Rails backend. This platform automated billing and collections, integrated IoT data from solar arrays, and provided critical monitoring features. As a result, Ampion gained a fully automated back-office operational platform that allowed it to compete effectively with larger utilities.
