HIMSS, organizer of the annual HIMSS Conference that draws nearly 45,000 healthcare IT professionals, faced the challenge of uniting a global, tech‑savvy audience in a single live event while delivering cutting‑edge digital experiences. Freeman partnered with HIMSS to provide Event Technology & Software and Production & Audio Visual services to modernize the program and bridge physical and virtual engagement.
Freeman implemented a fully digital program — from augmented and virtual reality experiences and a 30,000‑sq‑ft Interoperability Showcase to a Developer Innovation Lab, presentation management for nearly 400 sub‑sessions, 30 digital signs, OnlineEvent for remote attendees, LED posters, an interactive sponsor well, a 20×60‑ft video wall, and Facebook Live streaming. The result: smoother session delivery with over 96% of presenters uploading files, strong engagement with 44K engaged social users and 119K+ tweets, and energized knowledge‑sharing across attendees and exhibitors.
