DestiMED launches Ecotourism Footprint Calculator across the Mediterranean with Free Range

Free Range partnered with DestiMED, a project focused on sustainable travel in the Mediterranean, to address the challenge of quantifying and communicating the environmental impact of tourist packages. DestiMED needed an accessible online tool for tour operators to understand this ecological footprint.

The solution was the creation of the Ecotourism Footprint Calculator, which involved branding, product development, and website design by Free Range. This tool, built in collaboration with the Global Footprint Network, provides a simple experience for operators across the Mediterranean to assess and reduce their impact on local ecosystems. Free Range continues to support this initiative and develop similar calculators for other sectors.
