Increased Telecoms Control for The Warehouse Group

The Warehouse Group, one of New Zealand’s largest retailers with 86 stores and ~550 mobile devices, was overwhelmed by boxes of paper telecoms bills and had no easy way to track or control employee call and data spend. They extended their existing Fraedom transaction management platform by adding the Fraedom Phone Module to get an online, auditable view of all mobile transactions and regain visibility and accountability.

Using Fraedom’s Phone Module to automatically import supplier data and require employees to code personal calls, The Warehouse Group implemented fair-use policies, cleaned up redundant accounts and renegotiated tariffs based on consolidated spend. The Fraedom solution produced measurable results: a 17% drop in annual mobile expenditure, an immediate $5,000 saving from applying default data gateways, recovery of erroneous roaming charges, and ongoing lower recurring costs through better plans and controls.
