Windows 10 Native Application Eliminates Paper in the Cockpit

Conduce Group, a provider of mobile aviation solutions, set out to eliminate paper technical logs and streamline aircraft maintenance reporting across airlines. The challenge was to replace the legally required Tech Log Pages used on every flight while supporting durable Windows 10 devices in offline environments and integrating cleanly with existing airline systems.

Their solution—eTechLog, a Windows 10 UWP app deployed on Panasonic ToughPads—captures flight and technical data, mirrors it to an SD card for resiliency, and syncs to the cloud when available. Using Foxit’s PDF SDK for UWP to annotate and sign PDFs with a stylus, the system delivers high-quality, system-wide reporting, faster return of data to base, improved data quality, earlier issue detection and a fully paperless cockpit.
