Rakuten Kobo Uses Foxit Pdf Sdk to Display & Markup Pdf in Their Custom Ereader Devices

Rakuten Kobo, a digital bookseller and eReader maker, needed a better way to display and mark up PDFs on its devices. Its existing solution was slow and made it difficult for users to annotate, zoom, turn pages, and take notes. Rakuten Kobo chose Foxit Software and the Foxit PDF SDK to improve PDF performance and customization on its Linux ARM-based eReaders.

Foxit Software delivered a custom-built PDF viewer and editor for Rakuten Kobo’s 7”, 8”, and 10” eReader devices. The new solution enabled instant PDF loading and easy page markup, significantly improving the user experience and helping Rakuten Kobo reach its growth targets.
