PEP Digital Publishing, a leading Chinese educational publisher founded in 1950 with over 400,000 titles, set out to build interactive textbook apps for primary and secondary students. The company needed PDF-based apps that supported embedded audio, video and interactive features, a fully branded UI/UX, consistent cross-platform behavior on iOS, Android and PC, and strong encryption so content would be accessible only inside the app.

PEP implemented Foxit PDF SDK for iOS, Android and ActiveX and customized the UI Extensions source to match branding and student needs. The result: high-quality, secure interactive PDFs with consistent UX across devices, now used by hundreds of thousands of students in instructional products.
