How Barilla Uses FourKites to Save Time and Make Customers Happy

Barilla, the world-leading pasta maker with 30 production sites and more than 2,000 weekly loads to over 120 countries, needed real-time visibility to manage its complex road and ocean logistics and improve customer service. Since 2021 Barilla has worked with FourKites, using FourKites’ supply chain visibility platform and control-tower integrations to gain end-to-end tracking and accurate ETAs across its network.

FourKites feeds real-time location data and AI-driven ETAs into Barilla’s control tower, providing visibility into about 80% of Barilla’s road and ocean shipments across 35 carriers and three ocean freight forwarders, automating ETA alerts and reducing manual partner interactions. The FourKites implementation has streamlined operations, reduced transportation costs and fines, improved carrier and customer relationships, and saved time — with Barilla now targeting 90% shipment tracking and goals to cut penalties by 5% and communication inefficiencies by 10–15%.
