West Virginia University Utilizes the FWI Software Platform to Create a Centralized Digital Signage System

West Virginia University, a major higher education institution in Morgantown, needed to upgrade its digital signage network to give staff more flexibility in scheduling, templates, interactivity, and building-specific wayfinding. The university also wanted a Windows-based content player that could connect to live SQL databases and continue displaying timely information even without internet access.

Four Winds Interactive worked with West Virginia University to implement Content Manager and Content Player software, preserving emergency alert messaging while adding centralized control and new interactive features. The result was a major expansion from 80 screens to 140 endpoints, along with eight interactive touchscreen experiences and more than 50 templates, helping WVU improve communications for students, faculty, staff, and visitors across campus.
