BOS Improves the Passenger Experience with Visual Communications

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) faced the challenge of too much audio and visual clutter across its sprawling facility, with many different signage and information systems from multiple vendors. To improve wayfinding and passenger communication, BOS launched its Digital Passenger Information Program and selected Four Winds Interactive for the airport digital signage software, alongside content partner Art of Context.

Four Winds Interactive helped BOS implement a comprehensive digital signage program designed to better inform travelers, reduce anxiety, and improve the overall passenger experience. The project began with an eight-sign pilot in July 2012 and expanded to 28 additional screens in August 2013, giving passengers easier access to gate, baggage, restaurant, and other airport information.
