Adapting Guest & Employee Communications at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

Hilton Hawaiian Village, the largest property in the Hilton hotel chain, faced complex guest and employee communication challenges across its 22-acre resort. It needed a faster way to update digital signage, manage devices remotely, and quickly share emergency alerts during storms or natural disasters. The property also had to adapt to COVID-19 by reducing in-person meetings, eliminating paper handouts, and communicating health and safety information more effectively.

Four Winds Interactive implemented FWI Cloud and the Poppulo Guest Room TV application to give multiple teams easy content control across 2,860 guest rooms and dozens of employee, meeting, and public-area screens. Four Winds Interactive helped Hilton Hawaiian Village respond quickly to a tropical storm with real-time updates and use in-room TVs for Hilton CleanStay messaging. The platform also reduced IT burden and enabled smaller, socially distanced housekeeping meetings, improving efficiency and communication across the resort.
