Wargaming powers 65-shot Sabaton video in 70 days with Foundry

The internal advertising agency of Wargaming, a renowned video games company, faced the challenge of creating a high-quality, historically accurate music video for the band Sabaton with a rapid 70-day production schedule. To bring the story of the German warship Bismarck to life across 65 VFX and CG shots, the team required powerful tools for compositing, texturing, and modeling, turning to Foundry's Nuke, Mari, and Modo.

Using Foundry's tools, the team implemented a highly efficient pipeline. Nuke was used for compositing and its custom scripting optimized collaboration, Mari handled the immense, photorealistic texturing required for ships and soldiers, and Modo facilitated fast modeling and retopology. This allowed the fifteen-person team to achieve an average output of one completed shot per day, meeting their tight deadline while delivering a flawless, epic final product. Foundry's solutions were described as essential to the studio's workflow and the project's success.
