A Foundry Case Study
digic, a hungary-based animation studio known for creating game trailers and cinematics, faced the challenge of producing a high-quality, action-packed cg cinematic for ubisoft's rainbow six siege. the project required diverse lighting across many locations and efficient workflows to handle complex elements like motion graphics and led displays. to elevate their cg creation process, they turned to foundry and its compositing tool nuke.
using foundry's nuke, the digic team implemented specific features and workflows. they utilized nuke's live groups for sharing work, a custom grading system for rapid iteration, and a relight gizmo for last-minute changes without re-rendering. this allowed them to unify the film's look efficiently and save considerable render capacity. the result was the successful creation of the high-octane trailer "the playbook," showcasing the studio's technical and creative prowess supported by foundry.
