A Fotoware Case Study
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) needed to digitally preserve and make its collection of 700 artworks accessible to the public. Many pieces were hidden in private offices, and the university required a solution to document their condition and history.
NTNU implemented the FotoWare Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution to create a centralized, high-resolution digital archive. FotoWare’s metadata capabilities enabled the university to generate unique QR codes for each piece, allowing anyone to instantly access information by scanning with a mobile device. This project secured the art collection's future through detailed condition monitoring and made the previously inaccessible art available to all.
