The University of Illinois needed a clearer picture of the condition of its aging and newer campus buildings across both Urbana-Champaign and Springfield. FOS of CannonDesign supported the university with an MEP condition assessment and facility condition assessments to identify maintenance, repair, and replacement needs across a large and varied portfolio.

FOS of CannonDesign assessed 151 buildings totaling more than 13 million square feet, delivering recommendations with cost estimates for each item. This gave the University of Illinois a clear basis for capital planning and prioritized facility decisions, helping the university understand the condition of its building assets and plan future investments more effectively.
