SSM Health Dean Medical Group assesses 1,057,625 sq ft across 60+ clinics with FOS of CannonDesign

SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a network of over 60 clinics in southern Wisconsin, needed a comprehensive assessment of its extensive portfolio of ambulatory care facilities to evaluate their operational efficiency and physical condition. They engaged FOS of CannonDesign to conduct a detailed facility condition assessment (FCA) to analyze the state of their physical assets and determine the associated maintenance costs for the immediate future and long term.

FOS of CannonDesign implemented a detailed FCA for all sites using the industry-standard UniFormat® classification system. This provided SSM Health with critical data on each facility's assets, their current condition, deficiencies, and the required funding over five- and ten-year periods. The solution enabled SSM Health to understand total funding needs by priority, balance existing portfolio needs with new construction, and ultimately build a data-driven capital plan.
