Brevard Public Schools (BPS) needed to properly understand and analyze its deferred maintenance and capital renewal needs to inform its capital improvement program and sales surtax planning. To address this challenge, BPS partnered with FOS of CannonDesign to conduct a facility condition assessment, asset inventory, and implement capital planning software.

FOS of CannonDesign implemented its FOScore® platform, enabling BPS staff to assess a 10 million square foot building portfolio and integrate data with their work management system. The solution provided the district with defensible budgets for capital projects and a comprehensive asset database. This effort successfully generated evidence-based support for a sales surtax renewal, which was critical to funding continual facility renewal and improving learning outcomes for students.
