Alameda County worked with FOS of CannonDesign to address deferred maintenance and capital planning needs across a large municipal portfolio. The county needed a clearer picture of facility conditions across 86 buildings totaling 4.6 million square feet, so FOS used its facility assessment and asset management software, FOScore®, to evaluate the portfolio.

FOS of CannonDesign completed facility condition assessments and populated a database that could integrate with CMMS, BIM, and GIS systems, helping Alameda County translate condition data into actionable maintenance and capital renewal plans. In response to COVID-19, FOS also assessed seven hotels for possible county purchase and quarantine use, delivering the work quickly and earning praise from the client for the expedient effort.
