Burn O'Bennie Distillery creates a one-of-a-kind 30-year-old bottle with FortyTwo Studio

Burn O'Bennie Distillery approached FortyTwo Studio with a unique challenge: to create the packaging for a one-of-a-kind 30-year-old Aberfeldy single malt being auctioned at Sotheby's. The project was a collaboration with renowned artist Peter Howson, with all proceeds dedicated to a river conservation charity, requiring a design that would respectfully showcase the powerful artwork while being functional.

FortyTwo Studio designed a large wrap-around label using recycled glass and ethically sourced paper. The solution featured a debossed clear varnish and a gold foil spirit declaration tab, ensuring the artwork remained the focal point. The resulting unique bottle successfully fulfilled its special purpose. For their work, FortyTwo Studio was awarded a Graphis Gold award in Packaging.
