Trident Seafoods Streamlines Business Processes with Robot Schedule

Trident Seafoods, a Seattle-based, vertically integrated seafood harvester and processor, ran Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne across IBM i and Windows but relied on three different schedulers (embedded JDE, Windows Task Scheduler, and the native IBM i scheduler). This created hundreds of redundant job instances, no exception notification, wasted processing and manual error checks each morning, and extra administrative overhead.

Trident implemented Robot Schedule (with Robot Schedule Enterprise and the Interface to Oracle EnterpriseOne) to centralize cross-platform job scheduling, retire the embedded and native schedulers, and run Windows jobs through the Robot Schedule agent. The change cut jobs to administrate by 95%, consolidated three schedulers into one, saved about 2.5 hours per week through automated monitoring and notifications, and added forecasting to reduce outage impact.
