Texollini's Relies on SEQUEL The Right Tool for System i Data Access

Texollini, founded in 1989, is the largest knitting specialist for stretch fabrics west of the Mississippi, supplying performance, active and swimwear markets. The company struggled with making System i data from its TIM Datatex applications accessible and usable for nontechnical staff—standard System i reports were hard to sort, filter, update or analyze on demand.

Texollini implemented SEQUEL from Help/Systems as a front end to its System i, with two SEQUEL designers supporting 50+ users by building views, reports and menus. SEQUEL’s runtime prompting, update command, file-extracts and date-conversion functions let users run, format and summarize reports without programming, speeding performance, simplifying analysis (e.g., calculating days between order and ship) and saving significant time.
