SEQUEL Helps The Hammock Source Redefine Relaxation

The Hammock Source, founded as Hatteras Hammocks in 1971 and now the world’s largest hammock manufacturer, sells hammocks, stands, outdoor furniture and unique Real Deal Brazil goods. With a five-person IT team supporting ERP, operations, BI, e‑commerce and supply‑chain systems, IT manager Max Valdman struggled with slow, inflexible reporting from a heavily customized HarrisData ERP and nightly ETL routines—relying on RPG and printed reports that weren’t intuitive for end users.

Max trialed and implemented SEQUEL to provide prompted views, drill‑down analysis, dashboards, Excel export, Google Maps integration and on‑demand access via SEQUEL Viewpoint. The result: users self‑serve most queries (handling about 90% of cases), faster, more flexible reporting, less printing, clearer geographic insights and better decision making—helping the company produce higher‑quality products more efficiently.
