A Fortra Case Study
Nesco Resource, a Cleveland-based staffing and employment agency with 100+ branches and about 60,000 people on its payroll annually, faced a critical risk when Hurricane Irma threatened its Tampa data center just five miles from the shore. With weekly and biweekly payrolls, the IT team could not tolerate downtime and needed a fast, reliable way to protect business-critical systems.
Nesco used HelpSystems’ Robot HA and a secondary site in Winter Haven to perform a preemptive full server role swap during Irma, with HelpSystems’ support managing the cutover. The move kept operations running through a two-day Tampa power outage, prevented downtime, refined disaster procedures, and established a seasonal operating model that supports continued company growth.
