Ripon Medical Center (RMC) is a 25‑bed critical access hospital in Ripon, Wisconsin serving a ~25,000‑person area. RMC struggled with a paper‑heavy document workflow: forms were printed, scanned, stored offsite and poorly indexed on network drives, making retrieval slow, costly and error‑prone while creating labor overhead and compliance risk.

RMC implemented HelpSystems’ Webdocs to store document images and files on iSeries/PC servers with automatic key extraction, browser access and integration with existing applications. The solution eliminated much printing and manual scanning, automated indexing for one‑click retrieval by patient or visit, reduced labor and paper costs, improved security for HIPAA compliance, and was quickly adopted by staff.
