Precoat Metals, a unit of Sequa Corporation and the largest independent metal coil coater in North America, was processing 8,000–9,000 invoices per month with no central document storage. Manual printing, scanning, PO matching, and rekeying slowed workflows, reduced visibility, and required temporary staff during peak loads.
Precoat implemented HelpSystems Advanced Document Capture with Webdocs to automatically identify emailed attachments, extract transaction data, upload documents to centralized storage, and perform 3‑way PO-invoice matching with exceptions routed to AP. The result: centralized AP operations, automated processing of 8–9k invoices per month, elimination of many hours of manual data entry, improved visibility and control, and four former AP roles redeployed to higher-value finance work.
