INTEGRIS Health Turns to Powertech Identity & Access Manager (BoKS) for Server Management & System Security

INTEGRIS Health, a regional health system with about 9,000 employees and more than 1,500 licensed beds, needed to consolidate roughly 50 electronic medical record systems into a centralized Epic environment. That required rapidly expanding to about 60 Red Hat Linux servers and granting access to roughly 400 application, support, admin and clinical staff while maintaining HIPAA-compliant security and audit controls for users, groups and system privileges.

After evaluating several vendors, INTEGRIS deployed Powertech Identity & Access Manager (BoKS) to integrate with Active Directory, enforce discrete privilege escalation, support SELinux policies, and control local and domain accounts. The solution centralized sudo/privilege management, prevented unauthorized root account creation, and automated account provisioning for new systems—saving about 30 minutes per system on privilege changes and instantly propagating access across 6–30 systems as needed, while improving compliance and reducing security risk.
