How Safran Morpho Classifies and Protects Sensitive Information with Fortra Data Classification Solutions

Safran Morpho, Safran’s security business with over 7,700 employees in 40+ countries, develops identification, e-document and threat-detection solutions and handles large volumes of highly sensitive data. To better control information flowing through Microsoft Outlook and Office and to meet U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) across its global operations, Morpho sought a classification solution that would prevent leaks and enforce export controls.

Morpho deployed the Titus Classification Suite (Message Classification™, Classification for Microsoft Office™ and Classification for Desktop™), enabling users to label emails, Office files, PDFs, video and more at the desktop. Rolled out to more than 3,000 users, the user-driven approach created a culture of classification, improved enterprise-wide data security, restricted access to authorized users, minimized accidental leakage and helped ensure EAR compliance.
