How Fortra's Data Classification Suite is a cornerstone in national security

The Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) faced the challenge of protecting large volumes of highly sensitive emails and documents across personnel deployed worldwide. Existing classification tools were ineffective, so DND needed an enterprise-wide, easy-to-use solution that would enforce its classification structure and integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook and Office.

DND selected Ottawa-based Titus and deployed 90,000 licenses of Titus Message Classification plus 13,000 licenses for Titus Classification for Microsoft Office. The solution integrated with the existing Microsoft infrastructure, provided consistent labeling for emails, documents and mobile devices, simplified daily use for staff, and reinforced the department’s information security policies.
